Exhibition 2010

FlorArte has developed to become a cultural event , with an opportunity to carry out a series of other activities dedicated to Art and Nature.

On Suturday 24th and Sunday 25th of April, in the charming frame of of the park of Arenzano there will take place a fair ( Mostra Mercato) with plants and flowers, tipical to the Mediterranean climate, and different works of art, particularly high quality liguarian handicrafts, presented by LiguriaStyle.it. This event has been designed to allow the pubic to become involved and to en-courage a better understanding of the historical botanical setting and the importance in pre-serving it.

The first event of a “Garden Day”, dedicated to the preservation of historical gardens, takes place on Friday 23rd April. During this event there will be discussion on the themes of promotion and conscious fruition of ligurian gardens. In the morning there takes place the “Round Table” with Lauro Magnani as chairman and other participants as qualified authorities, experts and specialists. There will be a presentation of the first edition of the new series  of the publishing house Sagep called “ Sea of gardens”, “ Park and Villa Negrotto Cambiaso of Arenzano”.

During FlorArte it will be possible to participate in concerts, performances, book presentations, exhibitions, guided tours and work-shops which have been organised in collaboration with numerous cultural associations. The activities on botanical and art themes are dedicated to adults ( wth classes of floral decorations and petal icing) as well as to children (associations, together with the Library, will create a playful atmosphere on the theme of preserving of environment).

FlorArte is organised by municipality of Arenzano, province of Genoa, under the guidance of the Cultural Club “Amici di Nastrè” and sponsored by Region Liguria, Genoa University, FAI Liguria (the national Trust for Italy in Liguria), Superintendence of cultural heritage of Genoa, Chamber of Commerce of Genoa, organization Parco dei Beigua, Fiera di Genova,  STL del Genovesato (Ge-noa’s tourism network) and with collaboration of many private and state organizations.
